Beyoncé and JAY-Z‘s daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi, were the stars of the show when Bey kicked off her Cowboy Carter Tour in Los Angeles this week.

Night one of the trek went down at LA’s SoFi Stadium on Monday (April 28). Like Bey’s previous Renaissance Tour, 13-year-old Blue returned to the stage to show off her dance moves – though this time she had many more appearances. And rightfully so, as the entire internet has noted how insanely good she’s gotten at the choreography…even giving her mom a run for her money!

Perhaps the cutest moment, though, was when 7-year-old Rumi got to join her big sis on stage.

A grinning Rumi couldn’t stop waving at the crowd during her appearance, causing her proud mom to stop singing for a bit as she took in the precious moment. Blue then stepped in and brought her sister backstage before returning later to continue killing her choreo!

Back in 2023, then-11-year-old Blue Ivy’s dancing was publicly criticized by news outlets and fans early on in the Renaissance Tour – and though she saw the hate online, she used it as fuel to improve her performance.

In the Renaissance Tour concert film, there are moments between the mother and daughter discussing the criticism.

The New York Times‘ review stated: “It thrilled her mother that instead of quitting, she decided to put in the work and train even harder for future stops.”

The Times also revealed that in the film, Beyoncé confesses to not wanting Blue to perform at all. She says in the film: “She told me she was ready to perform, and I told her no.”

A multi-hyphenate like her parents, Blue Ivy also made her film debut last year in as Kiara in Mufasa: The Lion King.

“She did a wonderful job bringing this character Kiara to life,” he said. “I’m really proud of her, really proud of the work she did. As we were thinking of who could play this character, I thought, ‘Oh, this is it. She’s the right age, the right vibe. Let’s test it out.’ She was just tremendous.”

He continued: “There are some things she does in this film that are really emotional. She’s a thespian. [And the casting] had nothing to do with mom and dad. She was the right young woman for the job.”
