Kendrick Lamar kicked off his Grand National tour with SZA in Minneapolis over the weekend, and didnât waste any time in taking shots at Drake.
Making overt reference to Drizzyâs controversial lawsuit against Universal Music Group which accuses the record giant of defamation over the release and promotion of âNot Like Us,â Kendrick mocked the 6 God for taking their beef to the courtroom.

Before performing the chart-topping diss track, the Compton rap star played a pre-recorded skit where he sits down for a deposition with a lawyer.
The skit starts with the lawyer mentioning February 9, the date Kendrick performed at the Super Bowl, which Drake recently cited in his amended lawsuit against UMG.

In response, Kendrick says: âI donât keep up with dates.â
Lamar is also asked by the attorney: âDoes this ring a bell? Drop, drop, drop, drop,â referencing a line from Drakeâs diss track âFamily Matters.â
The pgLang MC responds in the clip by smiling before his set resumed and he launched into âNot Like Us.â

It has also been speculated that the skit, which was a feature throughout the show, was referencing Lil Wayneâs infamous deposition video from 2012.
Elsewhere during the U.S. Bank Stadium concert, Kendrick Lamar debuted a new verse over âFamily Ties,â which he performed sans Baby Keem.

He also made a subtle change to âm.A.A.d. Cityâ by interpolating Anita Bakerâs song âSweet Love,â which he referenced on his GNX opener âwacced out murals.â
Baker reacted to the homage by saying on social media that she was âblown awayâ by the shout-out.

Kendrickâs setlist also included other fan-favorites from throughout his catalog including âSquabble Up,â âAlright,â âHUMBLE.,â âSwimming Poolsâ and âMoney Trees.â
In addition to âNot Like Us,â he also performed fellow Drake diss âEuphoria.â

Co-headliner SZA also ran through many of her own hits including âKill Bill,â âSnoozeâ and âLove Galore,â as well as her Drake and Sexyy Red collaboration âRich Baby Daddy.â
Rather than splitting their stagetime into two separate setlists, though, the former TDE labelmates intertwined with each other throughout the night and performed several duets together such as â30 For 30,â âDoves in the Windâ and their chart-topping smash âLuther.â

Next up, the pair head to Houston on Wednesday (April 23) NRG Stadium before making their way over to Atlanta and up the East Coast in the coming weeks.
The North American leg of the Grand National Tour wraps up in June before Kendrick and SZA travel across the pond for a run of European dates between July and August.
