Ben Affleck may not be the first person you’d expect to join the debate over Hip Hop’s Mount Rushmore, but he’s shared his own eclectic list, which includes Lil Wayne, Slick Rick and more.
While sitting down for an interview with Complex, Jenny From The Block’s ex was asked his opinion in the ongoing Mt. Rushmore convo.
For Ben, his list differs depending on whether you’re talking all-time or present day, so he decided to do a mix of both for his four picks – which in addition to Wayne and Rick includes Eazy-E and Kendrick Lamar.
“It’s kind of random, but yeah,” he said of his list.

The Mount Rushmore debate centered around Caucasian MCs at one point this month, prompting Cam’ron and Ma$e to offer their two cents on their sports talk show, It Is What It Is.

Asked by co-host Treasure “Stat Baby” Wilson for their top three white rappers, Ma$e answered: “Who’s the guy from Philly that’s signed to Jadakiss [Millyz]? Eminem first, of course. And then you got MGK or Yelawolf. Who you think is better, Killa?”
Cam replied: “I’ma go MGK ’cause he’s my man. No disrespect to Yelawolf, I just don’t know a lot of his music.”
Ma$e also gave an honorable mention to the Beastie Boys, but felt compelled to amend his list after forgetting about one white rapper in particular.
“I forgot about Jack Harlow! I gotta do my list over. Jack Harlow is definitely up there,” he said.

Cam’ron issued a more thoughtful answer, saying: “Well, Eminem’s definitely number one for me. And then you gotta think about people who pushed the culture forward for white rappers in a time where white rappers really wasn’t being accepted.
“I’ma go with 3rd Bass as a group […] It’s not like they had Eminem lyrics and shit, but they had the Black community when it was really hard for a white person to excel in the Black community. People were like, ‘Fuck outta here’ when Vanilla Ice came around.”
The Dipset legend added: “My third pick is — God bless the dead — Mac Miller […] Jack Harlow’s definitely up there as well but I wouldn’t put him above the three people that I named. I think he’s at the fourth spot, but I think he’s really, really dope.”

Cam also admitted that he “wasn’t really a big Beastie Boys fan, to be totally honest with you. To me, they were more rock ‘n’ roll than rap.”
